Pampered Puppies

I was browsing the Pampered Puppy website which hosts a monthly photo contest for your dogs. Zelda placed top 10 once and appeared on the honourable mentions list another time. I was just checking out the competition when I realized what one of the prizes were for the month of June.... a $50 gift card to The Sharper Dog. What does $50 get you from this website? Perhaps a slight break off the price of one of their designer/therapeutic beds!

Fauna Sauna's The Regent - $1,095 USD

This bed features non-contact warmth from the sides of the bed - never from below.

Smucci Manger Cradle Designer Bed - $675 USD

These are hand built and create a "perfect" nest for pets seeking close comfort. It reminds me of when we take my friend Melanie's dog, Lincoln, and wrap him in a blanket or a pillow case and call him Sweet Baby Jesus. I think he'd enjoy this manger style bed.

La Rochelle Collection Bed - $1,584

I just really like this one because of the colours. Oh, and it's made with crush velvet and imported fabrics. Why not, though.

Signature I Noir Collection Dog Beds by Chien Vivant Couture - $1,747 USD

This one is the most expensive dog bed on the website. I don't have anything else to really say about it, but can you imagine a slightly overweight beagle relaxing on this thing?

Baby Toes and Dogs

So I found this necklace on Etsy... I don't have any children of my own, so maybe that's why I don't see the sentimental aspect/novelty of this item, but I'm actually kind of creeped out by it. Maybe I'm the crazy one here, but really, $150 for a baby toe pendent? heh.

$150 USD

In other news, here are some doggy pictures I've taken recently. They feature Zelda and her new boyfriend Dublin.

Water-Powered Clock

I was at a friend's house last night and noticed this clock. Looks like any normal clock, but they pointed out to me that it was a water-powered clock!! COOL!! A quick google search later and I found the exact clock online.

All you need is some tap water and a splash of lemon juice and this thing is supposed to work for 2-3 months before you have to fill it up again. Sure beats leaving a plug in all the time or remembering to buy batteries.

Fish Condo

This is my 50th post. YAY! I've posted a few items from the Unica Home site before, so it was time for another unique item from them. I could spend hours looking on this site and never get bored. This fish condo is such a neat alternative to a regular fishtank. It would even look cool as a random knick knack on your shelves even if it wasn't a fish tank. It could just be a random block or a bookend... but no, it's a fishtank!

Cost:
$25 USD

Robot Love

I've never actually been to the Anthropologie location in Toronto, but I love to check out the website. It's a lot like Urban Outfitters it seems, but just a tad more expensive....especially these robots!!! If you don't mind spending up to $600, you can get one of these one-of-a-kind designer robots. I love how they all have individual names. I feel like I'm going to keep an eye out for pieces here and there so I can make my own robot and charge $600 for them.

Paper Clips

I recently had to do a project at work that required me to use a ton of paperclips at once. So now I am left with a large collection of random paperclips. I'm sure I can find something to do with them eventually, but I wish I had the ones I just found on the ModCloth site instead!! My favourite are the chickadee clips :)

Camera Bags

Soon enough I will be buying a new lens for my camera, which makes me realize that I need a new camera bag! I'd need something with a few extra pockets so I can carry around the camera with lens attached, an extra lens, a flash, and the charger. I knew Etsy would have something that I'd like, and after comparing a few different shops, I found what would work best for me!! Now its the hard part of picking which fabric design I like best. Here are a few neat ones:

DSLR Padded Camera and Lens Carrier Bag..LARGE

Cost:
$89.99 USD

Where To Get It:

GypsyRoseHandbags Snugglens

$90 is not much when you consider how much a dslr camera and lenses cost.

Also in that shop you can find smaller camera bags for your normal sized P&S cameras, as well as wallets, checkbook covers, cosmetics cases, etc.

MoroccanOil

Salut!

So let me tell you all about how much I love MoroccanOil for your hair. Melanie told me about it last week and even gave me a demonstration on her own hair! Words cannot describe how soft your hair will feel when you use it, as well as how great your hair will smell. I think the best part about this stuff is the fact that it doesn't make your hair greasy at all. You'd think that by putting "oil" in your hair you would end up with something heavy, but this makes your hair frizz-free, super soft, light, and shiny!

I bought my bottle at Trade Secrets for about $40 CDN. This may seem like a lot of money, but you don't need very much at all (and I have long thick hair). So I can see this lasting me a while.

Lets all thank Melanie for bringing this to my attention.
